Montenegro Men's Men's Basketball Team

Montenegro Basketball Team - represents Montenegro in international basketball competitions and is managed by the Montenegrin Basketball Federation ( FIBA member since 2006 ). As of October 3, 2015, it ranks 72nd in the FIBA ​​ranking (25th in Europe) [1] .

The national team held its first match on August 13, 2008 in Podgorica , with a score of 79:74 the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina was beaten. At a match held in the sports center "Moraca" , attended by 3,500 spectators. Boyan Bakic took part in that game , Neboisha Bogavac , Milosh Borisov , Slavko Vranesh , Vladimir Golubovich Goran Yeretin , Ivan Kolevich , Omar Cook , Ivan Marash Goran Nikolic , Nikola Pekovich , Vlado Shchepanovich . The first coach of the team was Dushko Vuyoshevich [2] .

At the European Basketball Championship 2015, the team was unable to break through, losing in the decisive match to the Dutch (55:68).

In 2015, the national team took part in the Games of Small States of Europe and confidently won all three matches. In 2019, debuts for the first time at the World Basketball Championship .
