BC Card Cup The World Baduk Championship (also the World BC Card Cup, the English Go World Cup - BC Card Cup ) is one of the major international go tournaments that existed from 2009 to 2012 [1] .

The tournament was sponsored by the Korean company BC Card . The forerunner of the BC Card International Cup is a tournament of the same name , held only for Korean players. The tournament takes place every year. In addition to leading professionals, amateur players from different countries are allowed to participate [2] . The participants of the main draw were determined as follows:

  • 3 players from The Republic of Korea South Korea
  • 2 players from China Of china
  • 2 players from Japan Japan
  • 1 player from Chinese Taipei Flag Chinese Taipei
  • 2 players - Wilde Card , announced by the Korean Padook Association
  • 54 players on the basis of the qualifying stage.

The prize fund of the tournament is 300 million won . The time control per batch is 1 hour of main time and 3 periods of loser time of 30 seconds [1] ; Komi is 6.5 points [2] .

After four draws the tournament ceased to exist.
