“Exchange of wives” ( Ukrainian: Міняю жінку ) - reality show of the Ukrainian channel 1 + 1 . For the whole 7 days, two families exchange mothers. The first 3 days in a new family, mother lives according to the rules of the family - brings up children, takes care of the house, looking for a common language with her husband. And the next 4 guests introduce their own rules, and the familiar life of the family changes dramatically.

The project is a long-lived on the channel 1 + 1. Several hundred families from Ukraine and abroad have already taken part in it. The program was first aired on March 8, 2010. Currently filmed 14 seasons.

About the project
“Changing My Wife” is a combination of reality shows and documentaries.
| Why are they doing this? People are bored with their usual life, they want to try something new, feel the taste of adventure. And for the sake of this, they come to our project , the producer of “Changing Wife” Oksana Kucherova [1] . |
Which families will be changed by wives, the creators of the program determine. As a rule, contrasting families are chosen for exchange: with different social status, worldviews, different lifestyles, views on raising children, nutrition, recreation, etc.
The program also hosts international exchanges, when moms change families from different countries and even continents. And in the project there is a practice of exchange between ordinary families and stellar ones.
Exchange Rules
On the exchange day, the wives collect their things and say goodbye to their families. They get acquainted with the new family and for the first three days must live according to the rules of the family in which they were brought.
Each woman leaves a “Family Charter” in the house, which lists the regime of the family day, budget, and responsibilities. The new family shares absolutely everything except intimate relationships.
Three days later, the “new wife” establishes its own rules, which the whole family must adhere to. On the seventh day, two families meet in neutral territory to discuss how they lived this week. A month later, the crew visits the participants to learn about the changes in their lives and the conclusions they made from this experience.
Families from abroad also take part in the Ukrainian project. The organization of such an international exchange requires a separate effort from the “Change Wife” team.
| Families from abroad watch “Changing Wife” on-line on the Internet or via satellite and send us applications. If they are emigrants, then according to our programs they monitor what life is now in Ukraine. For those who almost for the first time hear about our country, participation in the project is a kind of exotic. When you pay travel expenses, accommodation, they also pay money for the vacation at their own expense - it's so cool! Although negotiations with the channel are often delayed for several months, since it is very important for foreigners every word in the agreements and charters of the program , Oksana Kucherova [2] . |
Resonance issues
- Scandal involving Canadian shemale Sabrina Abdullaeva [3] .
The heroine of one of the issues was shemale Sabrina Abdullaeva from Toronto, who exchanged with Brovarian Elena Andriyets. Sabrina was not ready for the life of an ordinary Ukrainian woman and a few days later left the set. She called her husband in Toronto, after which he tried to appropriate the equipment of the film crew, and left his Ukrainian mother on the street without personal belongings and money.
This program aired on 02.22.2011 and took a record rating.
