Geographical position
The city is located in the central part of the district, on the left bank of the Maputo River (Lusutfu), at a distance of about 60 kilometers southeast of the country's capital Manzini . The absolute height is 77 meters above sea level [1] .
Population
According to the official census of 1997, the population was 9,374 people [2] . The dynamics of the population of the city by years:

Economics and Transport
The basis of the city’s economy is sugarcane cultivation . There are two airports in the vicinity of the city ( ICAO : FDBS and ICAO: FDUB) [1] . The MR8 motorway also passes through the city.
