Wang Nan was born in 1978 in Fushong , Liaoning Province. From the age of 7 she began to engage in table tennis, in 1989 she entered the provincial team, in 1993 - the national team. In 1997, for the first time she won the gold medals of the World Cup and World Cup, in 1998 she became the champion of the Asian Games for the first time, and in 2000 she won the first gold Olympic medal.
