Short Biography
Full name ( Malay. Syed Thajuddeen Shaik Abu Talib ). Born in India. He has been living in Malaysia since 1954. Here in Penang , his parents already lived. He studied painting at the College of Arts and Crafts in Madras (1968-1974) [1] . In 1974-1976 he taught painting at the MARA Technological Institute (Petaling Jaya), in 1977-2001 he worked in the public relations department of the United Asian Bank (since 1987 it has been called the International Commercial Bank of Bumiputra). He lives in Petaling Jaya .
Creativity
It works mainly with oil. The artist’s paintings are emotional and poetic; they are distinguished by their plasticity, graceful lines, and color harmony. Female faces with an exaggeratedly long cut of the almond-shaped eyes are expressive ("languishing for love, 1988). The style of many works is comparable to Persian miniatures or paintings of caves and temples of Ajanta . Among the best works are the triptych" Ramayana "created in 1972-1973, as well as cycle of monumental canvases about the Malacca Sultanate (1980s) [2] . His favorite artist is Gauguin .
Wrote over 1000 works. He participated in more than 20 collective exhibitions in England, Bangladesh, Belgium, India, Indonesia, China, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, USA, Thailand, Taiwan, Germany. The artist's paintings were also exhibited at the World Universal Exhibition "EXPO-2010" in Shanghai . Held eight solo exhibitions: Kuala Lumpur (1975, 1997, 2002, 2004, 2006), Penang (1975, 2015), Singapore (2015) [3] . The artist's works are stored in the National Art Gallery of Malaysia and the Singapore Museum of Fine Arts.

Family
Wife of Kul Sia Begam (born 1945). Daughter Kul Sanofer (born 1974) graduated from the International Islamic University in Kuala Lumpur. Son Said Fazal (born 1982) graduated from the University of New South Wells in Australia. Both are engineers by training.
