Antonio Beccadelli ( Italian: Antonio Beccadelli ), nicknamed Panormita (that is, " Palermo " - Italian. Il Panormita ; 1394 , Palermo - January 19, 1471 , Naples ) - Italian poet , diplomat, humanist and chronicler of the 15th century, writing in Latin . Founder of the Neapolitan Academy (1435).

For his service, he received a pension from the Duke of Milan Visconti ; from the hands of the emperor Sigismund received a wreath for a collection of epigrams Hermaphroditus (1432). [one]
In addition to the collection of epigrams, he wrote [1] :
- "De dictis et factis regis Alfonsi" (lib. V, Pisa, 1485),
- "Epistolae familiares ac campanae" (Naples),
- "Epistolarum libri V" (Venice, 1553),
- “Quinque illustrium poetarum lusus in Venerem” (Pisa, 1791),
- "Carmina illustrium poetarum italorum" and others.
