Geography
The area of the province is 94,394 km². Located in the central part of the country. It borders with the province of Muching (in the northeast), the Eastern province (in the southeast), the provinces of South and Lusaka (in the south), the Western province (in the west), the provinces of Northwest and Copperbelt , as well as with the DRC (in the north )

According to 2010 data, the provincial population is 1,307,111.
