Kuteynikovo (Donetsk region)

Kuteynikovo is an urban-type settlement in the Amvrosievsky district of Donetsk region . De facto - since 2014, the settlement has been controlled by the self - proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic [2] [3] .

History

The settlement was founded in 1878 [4] , when during the construction of the Ilovayskaya - Taganrog railway line the Kuteynikovo railway station was built here [5] .

As of the beginning of 1953, in the urban-type village of Kuteynikovo there were railway service enterprises, flour milling enterprises, a secondary school, a seven-year school and a cinema [5] .

As of 1973, there were railway transport service enterprises and a bakery [6] .

As of 1980, the population was 2.8 thousand people, there were a bakery, feed mill, high school, medical dispensary, the House of Culture and a library [4] .

In 1989, the population was2601 people [7] .

According to the results of the 2001 All-Ukrainian Population Census, the population was 2,156 people. [ specify ] .

As of January 1, 2011, the population was 1767 people, as of January 1, 2012 - 1734 people, as of January 1, 2013 - 1716 people [8] .

Infrastructure

The village has a bakery plant, a convoy at a bakery plant, a feed mill, an elevator, a school, a kindergarten, an outpatient clinic, and the Kuteinikovo railway station .


Famous residents

Two Heroes of the Soviet Union were born in the village - Alexander Ivashko and Mikhail Vasilievich Simonov .

In the village on September 23, 1920, the commander of the Revolutionary Rebel Army of Ukraine, Ataman Zhivoderov , was killed.
