Content
History
On June 9, 1942, the Holy See established the Mopti Apostolic Prefecture, isolating it from the Vicariate of Bamako Apostolic (today the Archdiocese of Bamako).
On June 12, 1947, the apostolic prefecture of Mopti transferred part of its territory for the construction of the diocese of Nuna .
On September 29, 1964, Pope Paul VI issued the bullet " More institutoque ", which transformed the apostolic prefecture of Mopti into a diocese.
