Biography
Galina Ostashevskaya was born on December 30, 1926 in Bessarabia . In the early days of World War II, she and her mother and brother moved to Odessa , where they lived first with relatives and then in one of the empty sanatoriums. After the explosion of the projectile killed her mother to survive, she settled into the ballet group of the Odessa Theater for Young Spectators , in which she began her stage work in 1942. In April 1944, after the liberation of Odessa and the opening of the theater, the young graduate of the ballet school became a dramatic actress for the Odessa Youth Theater, where she worked all her life.
Her most vivid work in the performances: "Philumena Marturano", "My Happiness", "Golden Key", "Dear Pamela." For the role of Palazhka in the “Kaydasheva family” she was awarded the All-Ukrainian professional award named after I. Nechuy-Levitsky.
She died on January 27, 2013 in Odessa [1] . Buried at the 2nd Christian cemetery of Odessa.
