The Apostolic Nuncio in the Plurinational State of Bolivia is the diplomatic representative of the Holy See in Bolivia . This diplomatic post is occupied by the church-diplomatic representative of the Vatican with the rank of ambassador . In Bolivia, the apostolic nuncio is usually the doyen of the diplomatic corps , since Bolivia is a country with a predominantly Catholic population. The Apostolic Nunciature in Bolivia was established on a permanent basis in 1917 . Her residence is in La Paz .

History
Diplomatic relations between Bolivia and the Holy See were established as early as 1857. But it was only in 1882 that the Apostolic Delegation of Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia was formed.
In 1917, the apostolic internunciature was created, which was disconnected from the apostolic delegates of Peru and Bolivia. On January 11, 1925, the apostolic internunciature was elevated to the rank of Apostolic nunciature. The Apostolic Nunciature is located in the Bolivian capital La Paz.
