History
In 1944 , as part of the construction of the new Izhevsk airport, on the site of the modern Molodezhnaya street, a runway of 1000x54 meters in size and several office buildings were built. In 1974 , in connection with the active construction of the territory of the old airport by residential buildings, a new airport was built near the village of Old Martyanovo [5] . The highway of the modern Molodezhnaya street is the runway of the former airport. The street officially got its name on October 4, 1979 by a decision of the executive committee of the Izhevsk City Council of Deputies [6] .

Monument to the Cosmonaut Dog Zvezdochka
On March 25, 2006, a monument to the dog-cosmonaut Zvyozdochka was unveiled in the park in front of house No. 34 on Molodezhnaya Street. The author of the monument is Izhevsk sculptor Pavel Medvedev. The sculpture about half a meter high is made of metal. On the back of the monument is an engraved story of the astronaut dog Zvyozdochka and the names of fifty specialists who participated in the preparation of the Zvezdochka flight. Especially for the visually impaired, the text is duplicated in Braille [7] .
It was no coincidence that the place for the monument was chosen; in 1961, a plane flying in search of a space capsule with Zvezdochka, after the final test flight of the Sputnik-10 spacecraft, took off and returned from the old Izhevsk airport, the runway then located on the site of Molodezhnaya Street [8 ] .
