Sebastian won gold for the Argentine team for the first time after the 1948 Olympic Games in the individual sport.
In 2012, at the London Olympic Games in the category of up to 80 kg, he won fights against New Zealander Vaughn Scott (9-5), Afghan Nesar Ahmad Bahawi (9-1), Armenian Arman Eremyan (2-1) and in the final of the Spaniard Nicholas Garcia ( 1-0).
