Red-sky red-eyed woodpecker is a rather large species of wood-dwarf . The total length of the body is 24-28 cm. According to the name of the red-sparse and piper-billed woodcreep, there is a long curved downward beak and reddish plumage . The back is red-brown, and the belly is light with a brown tinge. Throat and head cover with brown and white stripes.
Birds feed on insects and other invertebrates, pecking them from tree trunks and branches. Red-necked red-backed treewoods outside the breeding season often lead a solitary lifestyle, however, they often unite in flocks . 2-3 eggs are laid in an abandoned hollow or in any other wood cavity. Both parents are involved in hatching eggs and feeding chicks.
This drevolaz is one of the most common species. It lives in Argentina , Bolivia , Brazil , Colombia , Ecuador , Panama , Paraguay , Peru and Venezuela [2] . The natural habitats of birds are subtropical and tropical arid forests, subtropical and tropical wet lowland forests , as well as subtropical and tropical mountain forests. Red-necked red-winged wood-tree dwarfs are mainly mountain birds and can be located at an altitude of up to 2000 meters above sea level.
