Located on the southwestern coast of Lake Chernoe , 20 km south of the city of Opochka .

The population as of 2000 was 22 people [1] , for 2012 - 10 people.

Until 2005, the village was part of the now abolished Krasnooktyabrsky volost with its center in the village of Balakhi .
