Biography

Pavel Deinekin was born on December 18, 1918 on a farm Popasnoe (now - Kalacheevsky district of the Voronezh region ) in a peasant family. He graduated from three courses of the Ryazan Pedagogical Institute . In 1941, Deinekin was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. In 1942 he graduated from the Gorky Tank School . Since June of that year - on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. By June 1944, Lieutenant Pavel Deinekin commanded a tank company, 1st Tank Battalion, 19th Guards Tank Brigade ( 3rd Guards Tank Corps , 5th Guards Tank Army , 3rd Belorussian Front ). Distinguished during the Belarusian operation [1] .

On June 26, 1944, the Deinekin company cut off the Orsha - Minsk highway and was the first to break into the village of Tolochin in the Vitebsk region , taking an active part in the defeat of the enemy group in this village. Subsequently, in the battles for the liberation of Borisov and Minsk, the company Deinekina destroyed a large number of manpower and military equipment of the enemy. On March 22, 1945, the deputy commander of the tank battalion of the guard, senior lieutenant Deinekin, died in the battle for the city of Sopot in Poland . He was buried in the village of Vichlino 17 kilometers northwest of Sopot [1] , in 1948 he was reburied in the cemetery of the soldiers of the Soviet Army in the village of Boyano , the commune of Shemud , Wejherowski County Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland [2]

Rewards

By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated March 24, 1945, the Guard, Lieutenant Pavel Deinekin was awarded the high rank of Hero of the Soviet Union . He was also awarded the orders of Lenin , World War 1 degree, two orders of the Red Star [1] .

Memory

In honor of Deynekin named school in his homeland [1] .
