History

Polygon Millbrook, Bedfordshire, England (1978)

Millbrook polygon was built in the 60s and early 70s by Vauxhall, following the example of the landfill in America, Milford Proving Ground, Michigan . The two-mile (3 km) five-lane high-speed ring road began to be used in 1969, while the construction of other sections continued. [one]

In 1988, the landfill was registered as the company Millbrook Proving Ground Ltd (Millbrook), which was owned by Group Lotus ( Lotus ).
