The Premier de Assenso clubs play for promotion and reduction - one club goes to Assenso MX , one club goes down to the Third Division . In the championship Nuevos Talentos (New Talents) participate farm clubs. The task of Nuevos Talentos is the development of young talents, these clubs are not interested in promotion to a higher league (although one goes down to Tercera).
In the 2013 Clausura season (second part of the 2012/2013 season), 32 clubs participate in Premier Assenso - 16 in the first group and 16 in the second group [1] , and in Nuevos Talentos 26 clubs participate - 14 in the first group and 12 in the second group [ 2] .
