God of Love ( English of God ) is an American independent short film by director, screenwriter and co-producer Luc Maseni , which tells about Ray - a lounge singer and a professional darts player who gained the ability to give people love with darts [1] . Critics accepted the work well, noting the ease of narration, the non-trivial plot and the absurdity of certain points [2] [3] [4] .

Initially, Maseni intended to get the right to premiere the tape at the Sundance Film Festival , but was refused [5] . Then he turned to the student department of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences , where the premiere took place on June 12, 2010 [6] . Subsequently, the director did not plan to go on rental, but only decided to show the picture at several film forums, among which were: Woodstock and Tucson film festivals that brought Maseni several awards [1] [7] . On December 1, 2010, nominees for the Academy Award were announced in the category “ Best Short Film ”, among which was “God of Love” [8] ; On March 7, 2011, the film received this award [9] [10] . December 23, 2011, according to the decision of the producers, the film was released in wide distribution in the USA. On physical media, it came out as an addition to the Danny Boyle Blu-ray Edition 127 hours [11] .
