Koytash ( Uzbek. Qoʻytosh / Қўитош ) is an urban-type settlement in the Gallyaral district of the Jizzakh region , Uzbekistan . The village is located at the foot of the Koytash mountains, 35 km from the Galyaaral railway station (on the Jizzakh - Samarkand line ).

The name of the village consists of two Uzbek words: “qo'y” (sheep / ram) + “tosh” (stone), which is obviously due to the presence of extensive pastures for grazing small cattle and the presence of large boulder stones as in the village itself and around.

The main industry is the extraction and concentration of tungsten and molybdenum ores.
