Zhaslyk ( Uzbek. Jasliq / Zhasliқ , Karakalp. Zhaslyқ ) is an urban-type settlement in the Kungrad district of Karakalpakstan , Uzbekistan . In the village there is a railway station of the same name (on the Naimankul - Beineu line ) and the former airport of local airlines Tuley .

Status of an urban-type settlement since 1975.
9 km north-east of the village is a former military airfield . During the Soviet period, a military training ground “The Eighth Chemical Defense Station”, designed to test chemical weapons and defenses against them, functioned in the vicinity of the village. The landfill was operated by servicemen from military units stationed in Nukus : a chemical test regiment (military unit 44105) and a center for the development of means of protection against chemical weapons (military unit 26382). For the aviation support of the test site, the 101st separate test aviation squadron ( An-26 aircraft , Mi-8 helicopters ), based at the Nukus airfield, was used . The construction of the training ground and the airfield was carried out by military builders. Military units 11708 and 01528, stationed in the village of Zhaslyk. Obeyed military unit 43177 ( Nukus ).
Zhaslyk airfield , a training ground and two parts of military builders were closed in late 1991 and early 1992. Military personnel withdrawn to Russia.
Attractions
67 km north-west of the Zhaslyk railway station on the Ustyurt plateau there is a monument of medieval architecture of the Beleuli caravanserai.
