Antoine Bertin ( fr. Antoine Bertin ), nicknamed " Knight Bertin " ( le chevalier Bertin ; October 10, 1752 , Reunion - June 30, 1790 , Santo Domingo ) - French poet ; singer of "wine, love and fun", in the spirit of the Latin elegikov , nicknamed "French Perpertsiem " [1] .

Biography
Born in 1752 on the island of Bourbon (present-day Reunion ), he was brought up in France from the age of nine [2] .
In 1777, his first poetic experiments appeared and, thanks to the sonorousness and lightness of the verse, he acquired the honorable name next to his countryman and friend Parni . In addition to love, he also sang nature and wrote travel letters not only in verses, but also in prose [2] .
He died on the island of Santo Domingo in 1790 [2] .
