Story
The action takes place at the end of the 18th century during the fall of the old order in France and the beginning of the French Revolution . In the center of the story is a biography of the last Queen of France, Marie Antoinette, from adolescence to death. The Queen’s character is shown in development: at first she is uncompromising, frivolous, extravagant, indifferent to the feelings and needs of other people, especially those who are lower in her position. Subsequently, the character of Marie Antoinette changes, becomes deeper, and the events of the Queen’s life become more and more disastrous. Toward the end of her life and after the revolution, Queen Marie Antoinette became one of the most courageous and heroic figures of her time.
