Ekabppils ( Latvian. Futbola klubs „Jēkabpils” ) is a Latvian football club from the city of the same name . The club was founded in the beginning of 2001 under the name “Namese”, and after the 2003 season, it changed its name to “Jekabpils”.

On July 14, 2017 by the decision of the LFF Commission on Disciplinary Cases (DC LFF) Jekabpils was excluded from the First League due to gross violations of sports ethics [1] .
