Geography
The city is located the eponymous railway station (on the line Guzar - Kitab ) and the airport. Southeast of the M39 highway.
In 1954, the settlement at the station Yakkabag received the status of the village and the official name Station Yakkabag . In 1978, the village was transformed into the city of Yakkabag . Light industry enterprises are located in the city.
The name of the city Yakkabag in Turkic means “lonely garden” .
