The location of the teams of the Montenegro football championship 2009/10.

According to the results of the 2007/2008 season , the FC Mladost team, which finished the tournament in the last, 12th place, went directly to the Second League 08/09 . Her place was taken by the winner of the Second League 07/08 FC Jezero from Plav .
FC Bokel from the city of Kotor and FC Sutjeska from Niksic , who took 10th and 11th places respectively, played butt games for the right to remain in the First League.
FC Bokel team dropped out to the Second Division 08/09 , losing in two games to the third team of the Second League 07/08 FC Unity with a total score of 0: 1 in two matches.
FC Sutjeska's team retained their place in the championship thanks to a victory over the second team of the Second League 07/08 FC Mladost with a total score of two matches 1: 0 .
