Physical Geography

The village of Pervomaiskoe is the largest in population in the Biysk region. The village is located in the forest-steppe part of the Biysk-Chumysh Upland. Near the village flows one of the largest rivers of the region - Biya - in the south, and the Chemrovka river - in the north. The climate is sharply continental with moderate rainfall.

History

It was founded in 1929 as the central estate of the newly-formed Biysk state farm.

Economic Geography

The village of Pervomaiskoe has a central heating system. Coal Kotelnaya is located in the North-Western part of the village. In the coming years, a full transition to a more environmentally friendly fuel - natural gas is planned. In 2008, an clay quarry appeared in the southeast of the village. The village is the center of the May Day Village Council. The main sector of the economy in the village is crop production (grain growing) and livestock, the main enterprise is AKGUP Biyskoye . After the collapse of the Soviet Union (1991), the economic productivity of agriculture on the grain farm fell into decay. In the 2000s, the economy of Pervomaisky in particular and the Biysk region as a whole began to develop rapidly. According to the federal plan for the development of road infrastructure, a federal highway M-52 was laid in the south of the village. On the north-eastern outskirts of the village there is an asphalt-concrete plant, on the north - a brick factory (now inactive). Drinking water supply of the village is made from artesian wells up to 120 meters deep. Water flows through pumps to the water towers, which are distributed throughout the village.

In the center of the village there are monuments to V.I. Lenin and the soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945).

School History

The school was opened in 1930 a year after the founding of the state farm. Its first name is “Grain Farm”. The head of the school was E. Ilyinykh. They studied only seven years. Four years later, the school made its first graduation. Since the mid-1950s, the school has become an eight-year-old, and a boarding school has been opened for children to study and live with state farm departments, which was operating until 1984. In 1965, the school was transformed into May Day secondary . The first graduate of the tenth graders was in 1965. There were few of them, only 19 people. The school had a student production team and a camp for work and rest - "Saturn 70". In 1974, the current school building was built. At different times, the school was headed by: Evgeny Pavlovich Demyanov (1965-1966), Evgeny Mikhailovich Morozov (1966-1978), Yuri Yefimovich Rykov (1978-1986), Anatoly Zigmundovich Khmelevsky (1986-2012). Currently, the director of the school is Marina Belyaeva.

In 2002, with. Pervomayskoye opened another secondary school - MBOU "Pervomayskaya secondary school number 2" . And from that moment on, the permanent director of the second school is Evgeny Alekseevich Mashansky.
