Cassiopeia is the official fan club of the South Korean pop group TVXQ! Dong Bang Shin Ki . It was named after the asterism of five stars forming the letter W - Cassiopeia , one of the members of the group - Max Chanmin . The same fan club in Japan is called BigEast . The fan club was formed a few years after the debut of the group, on April 23, 2006. The official color of the fan club is pearl red, symbolizing passion. April 23rd is celebrated as the day of Cassiopeia.

Membership
Cassiopeia is honored to be the largest fan club in South Korea with more than 100,000 registered users at the Daum Fancafe, Yuaerubi in just two days. At the international level, Cassiopeia included more than 92,000 participants in 2009. In 2008, the fan club was listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the "World's Largest Fan Club." [1] Cassiopeia was also listed in the record book as “The Largest Fan Club” in 2011.
International fans of TVXQ !, who are not official members of Daum fancafe and do not belong to the SMTown lineup, also call themselves Cassiopeia.
Charity
Cassiopeia shows its support for TVXQ! sponsoring and donating to charities, building schools and parks, as well as community centers throughout Asia. This is called "fan projects."
About 500 people from Yunho's “Let's Go Together” Japanese fan page participated in a fundraiser and donated 500,000 yen (approximately $ 6,400 USD) on July 29, 2011, to clear up the effects of the earthquake in Japan. On the fan page, special “Let's Go Together” towels were created and these packages of towels were sold to each member of the online community in order to increase the fundraising for the donation. This was the third time they donated money, accumulating a total of 1.5 million yen (approximately $ 19,200 USD). [2]
Members of Yunho One’s Japanese fan blog donated about $ 20,000 USD to a welfare community in his hometown of Gwangju , celebrating his 27th birthday. His fans in China also donated their time with less luck and donated enough money to support a young girl living in a difficult situation who was able to live comfortably for a year with donations. In 2012, Yunho fans built a library in honor of his name. It was opened on March 24 and is located on the second floor of the Chunam elementary school, the library provides students with books, bookshelves, desks, writing instruments and much more. There are 1688 books in the library. [4] [5]
On April 14 and 21, 2012, Filipino fans donated to the Philippine Society for the Protection of Animals. [6]
Legal Issues
Cassiopeia filed a motion against SM Entertainment's long-term contracts in 2010. [7] Cassiopeia also filed a compensation claim for the cancellation of the SM Town Live Concert concert, as initially SM and TVXQ claimed that the concert would be held as planned; the concert was canceled a week before the scheduled date.
