Lake & Peninsula ( English Lake and Peninsula Borough , Russian Lake and Peninsula ) - one of Alaska's boroughs ( USA ). It is the second district (or equivalent administrative-territorial unit: borough / census area in Alaska and parish in Louisiana ) in the United States by the minimum population density after Yukon-Koyukuk . The only district (or an administrative-territorial unit equivalent to it), the administrative center of which is outside its limits.

Description
Borough is located in the southwestern part of the state, mainly on the Alaska Peninsula . In the west, it borders on the Aleoschians-Ost borough, on the other side - with several boros and census zones , washed by the waters of the Bering Sea and the Pacific Ocean .
The administrative center is King Salmon , which is located on the territory of neighboring borough - an exceptional case in the geography of the United States. Lake and Peninsula itself was formed on April 24, 1989 .
Borough area is 80,049 km², of which 18,454 km² (approx. 23%) are open water areas.
Boro got its name in honor of the peninsula on which most of it is located, and in honor of the lake located on its territory.
