Career

At the 1928 Olympics in St. Moritz, he won a bronze medal in the 50 km race, losing only 16 seconds to his second team-mate Gustav Junsson and winning almost 9 minutes against Norwegian fourth-place winner Olav Helbotn . He also started the 18 km race, but lost the race.
