Laid down at Seattle Tacoma Shipbuilding , Seattle July 22, 1941 . Launched on June 28, 1942 , entered service on May 25, 1943 .

Since November 15, 1944, the high-speed minesweeper DMS-28 .

On April 16, 1945, it was severely damaged by a Japanese kamikaze northwest of Okinawa .

Put in reserve on November 2, 1945 . Expelled from the U.S. Navy on November 16, 1945 .

Sold April 16, 1947 and dismantled.
