The Diocese of Uíge ( Latin Dioecesis Uiiensis ) is the diocese of the Roman Catholic Church with its center in the city of Uíge , Angola . The diocese of Uige enters the Metropolis of Malange . The Cathedral of the Diocese of Uizhe is the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

History
On March 14, 1967, Pope Paul VI issued the bullet Apostolico officio , which established the diocese of Carmona and San Salvador, isolating it from the archdiocese of Luanda . On the same day, the Diocese of Carmona and San Salvador in the metropolis of Luanda.
On May 16, 1979, the Diocese of Carmona and San Salvador was renamed the Diocese of Uíge.
On November 7, 1984, the Diocese of Uizhe transferred part of its territory for the construction of the Diocese of Mbanza-Congo .
On April 12, 2011, the Diocese of Uige entered the Metropolis of Malange.
