He played for the Norwood Paragon Cycling club. At the Summer Olympics in Helsinki (1952), in the 4000-meter team pursuit along with Alan Newton , George Newberry , Donald Bergess , won the bronze medal with a total of 4.51.5. In 1955 he moved to Toronto, and in 1978 he became a Canadian citizen.
