Content
History
The team was founded on May 20, 2002 [2] . In their first season 2002/03, the team played in the second division of Andorra . Then Athletic became the bronze medalist of the championship, losing only to Casa Estrella del Benfica and Engordany . The next season, 2003/04, the team won the Segon Division and advanced to the top division . Athletic spent the next three seasons in the Andorran championship, flying to the lower division in the 2006/07 season . The club showed the best performance in the 2005/06 Andorran Championship, taking 6th place.
In the 2008/09 season , Athletic became the silver medalist of Segon Divisio, losing only to Enkam . In the 2014/15 season, Luis Carlos Gonçalves Ventura, who previously headed Principat , became the head coach of the team [3] .
Stadium
The Andorran Football Federation holds Primera and Segon Divisio matches in their stadiums [4] [5] . The federation also distributes stadiums and training fields for each team [6] . The “ Comunal d'Andorra la Vella ” seats 1299 people and is located in Andorra la Vella [7] , the “ Comunal d'Ahoval ” is located in the south of Andorra in San Julia de Loria and seats 899 spectators [8] . Matches are sometimes held in the Spanish city of Alas-i-Serk , bordering Andorra, at the Center Esportiu d'Alas stadium, which seats 1,500 people [9] .
