Biography

Board

Like his uncle and namesake, King Budik I , Budik II was the prototype of the Emperor of Brittany (Emyr Llydaw). Budik was married to Elaine, daughter of Gorlua Kerniu, who was the son of Solor Kerniu .

When his cousin Rival usurped power in Armorica, he and his father Erich fled to Britain. They took refuge at the court of King Ayrgol Divedsky , where his other cousin, Amun the Black , was a royal close. Here Budik became acquainted with Anouad, the sister of St. Theilo . He soon married her and she bore him two children. During her third pregnancy, envoys from Armorica arrived at Budik with a message about Rival's death. Erich and Budik with his wife and children arrived in Armorica, where they began to rule.

Cavalry Budika II was considered invincible. Under him, his country became more powerful. In the last years of his life, his eldest son, Joel the Great, regained him.

The ruler of Gwent , Meirig , his three daughters - Gwenonwy, Anna and Afrell, married the three sons of Budik [1] , Gwindaf , Amun and Umbrafel, respectively [1] [2] [3] . According to other sources, they were his cousins [4] and sons of Budik I. [five]

He died in 544 [6] , in 545 [7] , either in 556 [8] or in 570. [9] [10]
