Biography
As a descendant of Eudawa the Old, he was also his heir. Gvitilin, Archbishop of Caer-Lundein, offered him the British High Throne. At that time in Britain there was no single monarch after the death of the emperor Grazian, and in 410 the Roman army completely left the island. Aldrien was aware of the chaotic state of the island and of the damage caused by the invasions of the Picts, Saxons and Irish. Not wanting to reign on the island, he sent his brother, Constantine, in his place, with 2,000 soldiers.
Aldrien was married to the sister of the bishop of St. Herman's Church, on the Isle of Man. In marriage, several sons were born.
In 464, Aldrien died and his eldest son Budik I succeeded him.
