Biography
Clark grew up in a suburb of Detroit and, after graduating from school, joined the ranks of the US military . While playing basketball at the Andrews airbase, he was noticed by a Scout from the University of Minnesota and offered him a scholarship. After a successful performance for the university team, he was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers at the NBA Draft 1966 in the fourth round with a total of 37 numbers.
For 10 seasons in the NBA, he played for the Lakers, Philadelphia 76, Baltimore / Capital Bullets , Seattle Supersonics and Detroit Pistons . In 1968, Clark became part of the Wilt Chamberlain transition from Philadelphia 76 to the Lakers. His average performance in the NBA was 16.3 points per game, and he twice participated in all NBA star matches , and was also selected for the second national team of all NBA stars in 1972.
In 1987, Clark made an unsuccessful attempt to run for mayor of Ecors ( Michigan ). In 1992, he together with Dave Bing , Dave Debuss , Dave Cowens, and Oscar Robertson founded the union of former NBA players.
