Biography

Kristin Steinert was born on September 3, 1987 in Glashütten , in the state of Hesse . She took an interest in sports from a young age, she began to actively engage in bobsleigh in 2009, and soon she joined the national team as a disperser and began to go to major international starts, and often showed pretty good results. In December, she made her European Cup debut, on the home track in Altenberg did not reach the prize positions a bit, having arrived at the fourth finish. The following season for the first time participated in the World Cup races, being in a two-seater carriage helmsman Catlin Martini , in the competitions in the Canadian Whistler took fourth place, again staying away from medals. However, literally a week later she took gold at the stage in Calgary, defeating the standings of mixed competitions in bobsled and skeleton. A week later, she won a bronze award at a stage in American Park City.

In February 2011, Steinert visited the adult world championship for the first time, on the Königssee track she participated only in the mixed bobsleigh-skeleton program, but was very successful here, winning a silver medal. The next season, due to sharply increased competition in the team, was forced to spend mainly in minor less important tournaments, however, by the 2012/13 cup cycle, she returned to the basis of the German team, becoming the accelerator at the helm of Caroline Zenker .
