Located 25 km east of the city of Opochka and 5 km north of the volost center, the village of Glubokoe .
The population as of 2000 was 15 people [1] .
According to the memoirs of old-timers, Pogoreltsevo was founded instead of burned to the ground as a result of a village fire, at the expense of Count Peter Aleksandrovich Heyden [2] .
