Career
He began his football career at the Torpedo club Taganrog , who played in the second league of Russia . The player’s first coach was Boris Nikolayevich Gerashchenko. In 1998 he moved to CSKA . From 1998 to 2000 he played for the reserve team. In 2000, Baranov held the only match in the top division : on November 12, in the last round of the championship, he started in the starting lineup for a meeting against Moscow Lokomotiv [1] . In the second half, with a score of 3: 0, he repelled an 11-meter hit by Oleg Teryokhin , but then he missed three goals. The match ended in a victory for CSKA 4: 3 [2] .
In 2001, Baranov went to Khimki , played only one match for them in the first division , having missed 4 goals. In the same year he played for the understudies of CSKA. From 2002 to 2005, he played for Gazovik-Gazprom . All these years he was the reserve goalkeeper of the Izhevsk club and rarely appeared in the first team. In 2006 he moved to Torpedo-RG from the second division . For two seasons, he took part in 49 meetings, conceded 60 goals. In 2007 he was released from the team.
