The flag was approved on May 4, 2012 by a decision of the Council of the Municipal Formation Chelbass Rural Settlement No. 160 [1] and entered in the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation with assignment of registration number 7627.
Description
"A rectangular panel with a ratio of width to length 2: 3, reproducing the composition of the coat of arms of the Chelbass rural settlement of the Kanevsky district in blue (yellow), yellow, green and red colors."
The heraldic description of the coat of arms reads: β In a golden field above the azure belt there are green flails crosswise with a broadened cross in the color of the field, which in turn is placed on top of the cross; everything is accompanied by: above - a branch of acacia and a branch of ash of the same color, folded into a free overturned rafter; and below - a running scarlet pheasant with a azure head and a gold collar ring on the throat, beak, wings, tail and paws . "
Justification of Symbols
The flag in the language of symbols and allegories reflects the historical, cultural and economic features of the rural settlement.
Yellow color ( gold ) symbolizes sunlight, prosperity, strength, stability and prosperity, as well as allegorically indicates the settlement's grain fields.
The blue belt allegorically points to the Srednaya Chelbaska River , along which the settlement lands stretch.

The cross with widened edges is one of the symbols of the Zaporozhye (Black Sea) Cossacks - the ancestors of many residents of the Chelbass settlement, and it is also a symbol of Christianity.
Ash and acacia leaves indicate the Chelbass artificial forest - the exceptional and unique value of the steppe zone of the Kuban.

The image of a pheasant indicates this species of birds, abundantly distributed in the Chelbass forest and the surrounding steppes.
