The events of the Cataclysm Arch, which describes the strongest earthquake that struck Gotham City, lead to the current situation at the beginning of the plot. Also, the plot is preceded by the arches “Aftershock” and “Road to No Man's Land” , in which the US government decides to evacuate the inhabitants of the city, and those who decide to stay in the city, isolate and leave to their own devices. “Nobody’s Land” describes in detail the period in the life of city residents from the beginning of isolation to the restoration of the status quo of the city and the beginning of the reconstruction of the entire Gotham infrastructure.

Content

Publication History

The main storyline went through Batman's personalized series: Detective Comics , Batman , Batman: Shadow of the Bat and Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight with numerous spin-offs in the rest of the series. In total, Nobody’s Land has 80 regular monthly comic book releases, 4 special issues, and the graphic novel Batman: Harley Quinn , which introduced Harley Quinn to the DC universe .

The crossover is divided into several plot arches. Part of the story came out in one episode, and then continued in another, coming out next week, similar to the way Superman comics were released in that period. In contrast to this scheme, the author’s team here remained until the end of the event, and did not change every month after the end of the plot.

The main storyline was collected in five volumes of collector's editions. However, due to the large number of issues, only 40 of them were included in this publication. The author of the book adaptation of the plot was also Greg Racke . She was released in January 2000.

DC is still planning a full edition of the Nobody’s Land collection, which will include issues that were not previously included in the volumes.
