Biography

Ganiev Rivner Fazylovich [1] was born on April 1, 1937 in c. Tazeyevo, Ilishevsky district of the BASSR.

In 1959 he graduated from the Ufa Aviation Institute . From 1959 to 1961 he worked as a design engineer at the Minaviaprom Design Bureau. He continued his education at the graduate school of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, after which from 1964 to 1971 he worked as a junior, then as a senior researcher at the Institute of Mechanics of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR ( Kiev ).

In 1966 he received the degree of candidate of technical sciences, and in 1969 - doctor of technical sciences; in 1971 - awarded the academic title of professor; in 1987 - corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Sciences ; in 1994 - academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences (majoring in mechanics and mechanical engineering).

From 1971 to 1978 - Head of the Department of Dynamics of Controlled Systems and Oscillation Theory Institute of Mechanics of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR, Professor of the Department of Higher Mathematics of the Kiev Institute of Civil Aviation Engineers in Kiev; from 1978 to 1986 - head of the vibroengineering department of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering. Academician A. A. Blagonravov, USSR Academy of Sciences.

From 1986 to 1995 - Director of the Volna Research and Engineering Center - Deputy Director for Science at the Institute of Machine Science named after A. A. Blagonravov, USSR Academy of Sciences; from 1995 to 2010 - Director of the Scientific Center for Nonlinear Wave Mechanics and Technology of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SC NVMT RAS); Since 2009 - Director of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering. A. A. Blagonravova RAS (IMASH RAS).

Chairman of the Scientific Council of the USSR Ministry of Oil and Oil on the use of wave and vibration processes in the oil and gas industry.

The field of Ganiev’s scientific activity is nonlinear vibrations, vibrational and wave processes in machines and apparatuses. He developed the theory of resonance phenomena in non-linear spatial oscillations of solids and deformable bodies, non-linear oscillations of multiphase systems, controlled wave processes in space technology.

In the field of oil and gas production, he laid the foundations of wave technology used to increase oil recovery.

He conducts teaching work, being the head of the Department of Applied Physics of the Moscow Aviation Institute , the head of the Department of Computational Models of Technological Processes at MIPT .
