Adagio - ( ital. Slowly, calmly) a musical group from France , working in the style of neoclassical progressive metal . It was founded by guitarist Stephan Forté in 2001. [1] The music of this group is known for the high technical skill of musicians and gloomy orchestras, combines virtuoso guitar and keyboard parts with a pronounced influence of classical and baroque music - on the one hand, and heavy guitar riffs and rhythm section, typical for heavy types of metal - with another. Separate elements of the musical style make it possible to highlight elements of such styles as symphonic metal and power metal in the group’s work. Beginning with the Dominate album, the sound of the band changed towards weighting, and an extreme vocal technique called the growl was also used, which is widely used in groups playing death metal , black metal and similar styles [2] .
