Vladimir Danilovich Solonchenko ( October 22, 1922 , Krasnoyarsk - June 25, 1944 ) - Soviet soldier, participant in the Great Patriotic War , Hero of the Soviet Union (1944).

Biography
Born in a Russian working class family. In 1939 he graduated from the 7th grade of school No. 33 (now school No. 2) at the Chernorechenskaya station ( Kozulsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory). He worked at the Chernorechenskaya weather station, since 1940, after completing the courses of weather observers, he was the head of the weather station.
In November 1941 he was drafted into the Red Army , from December 1941 - on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War . He was wounded and treated in Voronezh. He graduated from the machine gun school. In 1944 he joined the CPSU (b) .
On June 24, 1944, as a machine-gun company commander of the 199th Guards Rifle Regiment (67th Guards Rifle Division, 6th Guards Army, 1st Baltic Front), the senior lieutenant Solonchenko and his fighters crossed the Zapadnaya Dvina River and captured the bridgehead near the village of Labeyki, Beshenkovichi district, Vitebsk region. When repulsing the enemy’s counterattack, when one of the calculations failed, he himself lay down behind the machine gun. Inflicted great damage in manpower to a counterattacking enemy. He died in the battle for the bridgehead on June 25, 1944.
He was buried in a mass grave in the village of Uzrechye [1] ( Beshenkovichi district , Vitebsk region ).
Family
Father - Daniil Nikitich Solonchenko (? - 6.5.1933), worked as a mechanic in the car depot of the Krasnoyarsk station, and as a vehicle inspector at the Chernorechenskaya station.
Mother - Maria Evstafievna.
Brothers: Konstantin (born 13.3.1920), Mikhail, Alexander (born 22.1.1925).
Rewards

Memory
- An obelisk is installed in the village of Labeyki.
- The street on which V. Solonchenko lived in Chernorechensk is named after him; the house in which he lived was adopted by the state guard as an object of cultural heritage [2] .
- On the school building, in which V. Solonchenko studied, a memorial plaque was installed.
