Powerlifting
Esen Kaliev participated in the weight category up to 52 kg. At the Games, he lifted a barbell weighing 141 kg and took 10th place. The Paralympic commented on his performance in London in this way:
I did not have time to warm up and immediately went to the platform, ordering 140 kg. In the second approach, Rosman Omurbekov (President of the Paralympic Federation) did not manage to order weight, and the judges automatically set the barbell to 141 kg. And I could not use my last chance at 152 kg due to the fact that I was very nervous. [one] |
