The flag was approved on April 27, 2012 by the decision of the Council of the Shahumyan Rural Settlement No. 203 [1] and entered into the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation with the assignment of registration number 7667.
Description
"A rectangular panel with a width-to-length ratio of 2: 3, reproducing the composition of the coat of arms of the Shahumyan rural settlement of the Tuapse region in yellow, red and green colors."
The heraldic description of the coat of arms reads: β In a gold field above a lowered scarlet pyramid, burdened with four different-sized flowers collected on one cutting, in the color of the field, tea leaves are scarlet with spread wings an eagle holding a green oak branch with fruits β. [2]
Symbolization Justification
The flag language of symbols and allegories reflects the historical, cultural and economic characteristics of a rural settlement.
Shaumyan rural settlement is located north of the city of Tuapse in the mountain forest zone and consists of the administrative center of the settlement - the village of Shaumyan and seven more settlements.
In 1864, a military post was created by the Dakhov detachment , and the Cossack village of Elizavetpolskaya was formed around the post. In 1869, the village was transformed into a village. And in 1936, the village of Elisavetpolskoye was renamed the village of Shahumyan in honor of the outstanding revolutionary Stepan Shaumyan .
Shahumyan rural settlement is located at the mountain pass of the same name - allegorically shown by the red pyramid.
The image of an eagle symbolizes courage, bravery and courage shown by military units of the Red Army and local residents in September 1942 goals. It was in these places, after the bloody confrontation, managed to stop the Nazis on the approaches to the sea.
An image of oak branches with acorns points to relict oak forests. Oak branches also symbolize military prowess and strength.
Green color symbolizes the beauty of the surrounding nature, hope, rebirth, youth.
The yellow color ( gold ) symbolizes the greatness, wealth and prosperity, strength, and also speaks of loyalty, fame and merit of the inhabitants of a rural settlement. The yellow color also allegorically indicates that the settlement is located in the southern resort area of ββthe Krasnodar Territory.
Red color is a symbol of beauty, celebration, work, warmth, as well as courage, heroism, and the shed blood of the inhabitants of the settlement during the Great Patriotic War .
The image of tea leaves indicates that the world's northernmost tea is grown on settlement lands. Tea leaves symbolize energy and vigor.
