Granitnoye (until 1946, Old Karan ; Ukrainian: Granіtne ) - the village is part of the Granitnensky village council of the Volnovakha region of Donetsk region , until December 11, 2014 it was part of the Telmanovsky district . History
In the vicinity of the village there are mounds of the Bronze Age.
It was founded in 1778 by immigrants from the Crimean villages of Karan , Cherkez-Kermen and Marmara . The original name is Karan, then Old Karan.
In the late XIX - early XX centuries, fairs held in Karani (volost center) twice a year (autumn and spring) were especially famous.
From 1935 to 1941 as part of the Staro-Karansky district of the Stalin region .
During the Great Patriotic War in 1941-1943, the village was under German occupation , after the war it was transferred to the Telmanovsky district .
In May 1995, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a decision on the privatization of the Telmanovsky quarry in the village [1] .
On December 11, 2014, the village was subordinated to the Volnovakha District [2] .
