History
The Research Institute of Shipbuilding and Weapons of the Navy Navy Research Center of the Navy "Naval Academy" is the successor to the Scientific Research Institute of Military Shipbuilding (NIIIVK), which was created in accordance with the order of the Head of the Naval Forces of the Red Army on September 3, 1932 . The Institute was created together with other institutes of the Naval Forces of the Red Army - the Artillery Research Marine Institute (ANIMI) and the Mine and Torpedo Research Institute (NIMTI). which, as a result of a series of reorganizations, were merged on the basis of the Institute of Shipbuilding into a single 1st Central Scientific Research Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
The Institute was formed on the basis of the Experimental Basin and the shipbuilding section of the Navy Scientific and Technical Committee. On October 13, 1930, in the newspaper Izvestia , the head of the Experimental Basin N.V. Alyakrinsky and the employee of the basin, Yu. V. Krivtsov (later deputy director of the Institute) published an article “On the issue of research work in shipbuilding”, which served as a justification for the need the establishment of a research institute of shipbuilding. [2] On April 28, 1931, the Revolutionary Military Council decided to establish the Scientific Institute of Military Shipbuilding (NIVK). The flagship engineer of the 2nd rank N.V. Alyakrinsky was appointed the first chief of the Scientific Institute of Naval Shipbuilding. [3]
In 1938, the Research Institute of Military Shipbuilding was transferred to the People's Commissariat of the shipbuilding industry . On the basis of the Research Institute of Military Shipbuilding, the following were formed: Central Research Institute-45 (later renamed the Central Scientific Research Institute named after Academician A.N. Krylov, now the Krylov State Scientific Center ). In the same year, the Scientific and Technical Committee (NTC Navy) was created at the Navy, which retained almost all the functions of the NIIVK in the prewar and war years.
December 22, 1945 the institute was recreated. In the post-war period, the Central Research Institute of Military Shipbuilding (TsNIIVK) was tasked with creating an ocean nuclear missile fleet.
In 1948, to solve the problems of creating marine ballistic, cruise and anti-aircraft missiles, the Scientific Research Institute of Jet Weapons was created - 4 Navy Research Institute. In 1957, ANIMI entered its composition as an anti-aircraft artillery branch. In 1960, 4 research institutes of the Navy, its anti-aircraft artillery branch and NIMTI were merged into a single scientific research institute of weapons of the navy, renamed in 1965 the 28th research institute of the navy.
In the 70s of the XX century, with the direct participation of the Central Scientific Research Institute of Military Shipbuilding, three generations of nuclear submarines , aircraft carriers , heavy nuclear missile cruisers , large anti-submarine ships , landing ships and others were created.
In 1992, TsNIIVK was renamed the 1st Central Scientific Research Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Russia; from January 1, 1999, the 28th Navy Arms Institute was included in it.
Since 1994, the institute has opened a new area of activity for the scientific support of the export of naval equipment.
March 1, 2010 the 1st Central Scientific Research Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Russia was renamed the 3rd branch of the Naval Research Center of the Navy "Naval Academy".
Since March 15, 2012 it became known as the Research Institute of Shipbuilding and Armament of the Navy VUNC Navy "Naval Academy".
